Genesis 1:1

So most of you know that Andy lived in a 17' travel trailer from March - July 2008. It was parked outside of the Coke distribution warehouse in Charlotte, North Carolina where he was working. On average he was there from Mon morning through late Sat afternoon. When he was finished work he would drive 2 hours so that he could come home and spend Sunday with Ethan and I.

This wasn't a fun time for any of us. Ethan and I spent a few weekends in the Coke parking lot with Andy when he had to keep working and was unable to come home. 2 adults and 1 baby in a 17' trailer can be a bit of a challenge. Ethan drew the short straw and spent those nights sleeping in the bathtub.

Looking to the future it has become clear that Andy's job is only going to require more travel and farther distance from home. We're a family and obviously we want to be together. So, the logical choice is for Ethan and I to start going on the road with Andy. Clearly, the 19' trailer isn't going to work once we're traveling across America. Eventually, Ethan will outgrow the bathtub!!

We listed our shoe box of a trailer on ebay and sold it! We also started shopping for something bigger. Andy handed the little trailer over to its new owners last night and we are currently in agreement to purchase a 28' trailer with a slide out section. Andy and I will share a bedroom with a queen sized bed and Ethan will move out of the bathtub and into his pack n' play. Did I mention we're also bringing our cats along for the ride of their lives (all 9 of them, give or take a few)?

This blog will share the adventures of our family as we live like rock stars while Andy performs his engineering genius across America.
